Metric
Metric

Metric and the Pink Mountaintops continue to dominate the top 200 for the second month in a row and even Joel Plaskett, at number 3 last month, is still riding high at number 4. New comer Grizzly Bear has jumped in at numer 3. Check out all the details in the full !earshot June top 200. Lots of new releases for summer promise to shake things up a bit. It is already happening on the weekly charts.

North By Northeast just wrapped up in Toronto and our intrepid research Scott Thomson shares his feild notes and checks in with punk veterens Youth Brigade.

Jean-Christophe Beney is veteran of the Canadian Jazz scene with five albums already under his belt and numerous tours across the country with his own band and as a sideman. He talks to Jim Dupuis about his upcoming album, touring, getting started in jazz and more. Shelley Gummeson sits down with bluesman Sherman "Tank" Doucette to talk about the blues, recovering from a terrible burn accident and life.

And if you like it loud, we have listings for heavy music shows from across the land.

Thanks to Killbeat Records and Mint Records for supporting the annual !earshot party this month at the National Campus Community Radio Conference in Montreal.
