I'm thinking that the title alludes to a reference that predates me. Some obscure allusion to old school blues or rock and roll, but I don't get it. So I toss it like a frisbee into the dumpster, like I read in the MRR about how Jello Biafra used to do it. Ha ha. These revisionist blues people think they know it all. No. I joke. This CD is going into my collection. I will be playing it on my radio show for weeks on end. Every song on this CD is worthy of your ear. It is just that good. Compelling. Sweet covers of the Kinks' "Time Will Tell" and "Tell Me Now So I Know", command my respect. "Walk a Mile"; "One Neck" and "This Ship", wriiten by Holly Golightly, are my favourites. though. I can't believe that I once dismissed Holly Golightly as a reedy voice on Billy Childish's bandwagon. Annoying, I thought, at that time. I bought a couple of Thee Headcoatees LPs, because Billy Childish played on them, and came to that conclusion. I think now, that I was too quick to judge. Compelling is the word I would use to describe Holly's latest release. This album is, in a word, killer. John Gibbs, Eric Stein, Baine Watson, Ed Deegan, Bruce Brand, Sir Bald Diddley, and Holly Golightly have it all down on this one, folks. I listen to it all the time.
