This album paints us a picture of a doomed land. Children dig through the debris looking for recyclables, while in the distance-smoke fills the sky. Broken vehicles are everywhere, and on one particular rusted out milk truck FTW is spray painted on the hood. Unshaven haggard husbands hold each other in the street, remembering their dead wives. today is the day delivers riffs of doom, breakneck changes and the wailings of men possessed. The music of this rock and roll outfit always paints a picture for me, and for that I love them. This album is another great epistle in the canon of scripture. I am no soldier, but if I was a jetfighter and had to kill civilians in a historical battle — kiss the pig would be rocking in my headphones. That is the gospel truth.
