Ever since I heard “Kilometer” by Sebastien Tellieron an A-Trak mix I was hooked instantly. The bearded artist takes on the persona of a secluded and closeted Parisian soul much like his first album portrayed on L’incroyable Verite. The gloomy and somewhat sorrowed mix of sci-fi themed music makes for an interesting introspective clash of sounds but he has grown in all ways to create what is now quite the iconic figure in the industry. Much like his peers Daft Punk or MSTRKRFT plus similar artists St. Etienne to Röyksopp he has achieved this style and production status. Harnessing facets of soulful melodies and gathering new wave electro nuances he builds a musical fortress the young and old can enjoy on all levels. Much are the same with the collection of remixes from Aeroplane, A-Trak, Boys Noize and Kavinsky. Taking the danceable trends and combining catchy vocals these remixes rise to the top and give him more room to focus on the future and what it might hold for his ever changing styles.
