The illustrious group Jazzanova is comprised of a wealth of talented individuals. Alexander Barck, Claas Brieler, Jürgen von Knoblauch, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering, Axel Reinemer plus numerous close working partners and supporting ‘family’ members like Dirk Rumpff have given life to the name that is sin ominous with a European sound unlike any other.

Elements of broken beat, eclectic jazz and housey beats have been in all their productions and heard during their radio show and on the Sonar Kollektiv label. Long time friend of Jazzanova, Dirk Rumpff now steps up as a DJ here and exposes some beautiful music (some unreleased as well) for all to enjoy. From the sultry voice of Mimi Terris on The Other Side over the soothing staggering rhythms to funked out grooves on the hip hop inspired My Magic and the strangley lounge ambiance of No Glow this compilation leaves nothing out. The only thing left is the curiousity of what Jazzanova & Dirk Rumpff may have left out and what is to be on the next effort from the next ...Broad Casting.
