After many years and many past releases in the drum & bass scene, Trek E has moved into a new genre with some ear splitting sounds and emotional lyrics. Much like the misguided and dreary vocals from David Gahan, Trek E makes a similar presence with his vocals plus a fierce background of goth rock and broken beats causing a rush of energy to your body on ‘Breaking Down’. ‘Hard Hands’ takes on a more British indie rock stance with a bit of the same power as the previous track but it’s still geared up and full of in your appeal. Rounding up the EP is ‘Want it All”. This break beat and chuggy anthem track gains momentum with each wailing guitar and scream. If you enjoy old school Chemical Brothers you’ll appreciate the production quality and vigor here.
